Poems

The Road…

Sometimes those dark moments can feel like months,

Sometimes those months can feel like a lifetime of hurdles and bumps.

My soul is in prison in the thoughts I let in,

My soul has been captured, I’ve let the darkness win.

Where do I go, what do I do?

Is life worth living? Will I get through?

A multitude of questions surround me like fire,

Captured in this illusion - situation now dire.

Forced to my knees, I begin to cry out,

Help me God!!! My heart begins to shout.

I didn’t know if He would hear me – I’ve done too much wrong,

But this indescribable peace began to flow and I started to feel like I belong.

Philippians 4:7 talks about a peace which surpasses human understanding,

It started to make sense as in the midst of my mountains I was suddenly standing!

Broken hearts, failed relationships, strife, anger and pain,

Toiling, trudging uphill, 10 shopping bags and oh there’s the rain.

My eyes have now opened to a life far beyond this earth,

When you let the King of Kings enter a free gift of new life and a new birth.

I can now say to my mountains with a mustard seed of faith,

Be gone in Jesus name, I’ve conquered you by His grace!

People lets unite, its time to stand and arise,

God has taken us from darkness and given us His eyes!

There’s no valley that’s too deep that God can not outstretch His arm to save,

He did it on the cross its time to put down the baggage and step out of your cave.

This poem wasn’t written to entertain or pass some time,

It was written to show u Gods still there waiting patiently for your heart and your mind
